Community Outdoor Living
We love creating large scale outdoor living environments at public and semi-public locations. Some of our favorite projects have incorporated wading pools, water lily displays, outdoor wedding spaces, and expansive shade structures. From concert venues to art gardens, we develop unique spaces that accommodate crowds while also allowing for intimate conversation and individual experiences. As in residential design, Ivy Street Design generates creative design concepts while resolving critical issues like circulation, grade changes, and drainage.
Although projects like this may involve a variety of specialists and products, you can rest easy knowing that Ivy Street Design belongs to an extensive network of landscape and structural professionals. We search nationally and even world-wide for the best materials while also advocating for the economic and environmental benefits of locally-sourced products.

Hudson Gardens – 6115 S. Sante Fe Dr., Littleton – Designed and installed the “Lily Garden,” a unique pond and bog system to grow and display a collection of gorgeous tropical water lilies. Designed and installed the “Wedding Walk,” including custom pavers to create an unforgettable outdoor wedding experience for brides, grooms, families and friends. Hudson Gardens VIP Concert Venue – Developed a fresh concept for a limited access party and event space on a peninsula above the general concert area. The plan features a Monet-inspired bridge over the lagoon for exclusive access during events and maintenance access in off hours. The party area will ultimately feature covered bar and food service, stadium and table seating, a fire pit and a floating deck inside the lagoon.
Studio 8 – 560 Cherokee St., Denver – Designed and built a funky, contemporary, and ecological outdoor studio space and garden for an art studio complex in the colorful Golden Triangle neighborhood. The project features recycled asphalt, custom concrete bubble shapes, and a unique array of locally-inspired xeric plantings.
